What are we supposed to do with our snowboards (or skis)? Fly to Utah or Montana? I'm ready for snow, but until it starts, this is the only game in town for me (not a surfer).

Until then, this site is like AA for us kite addicts.

Charlie - I'm either going to 3rd or OB just want to wait and see what the wind ends up doing.

Skunked at OB! Had lunch in the area as I waited for the wind to pick up, but it never did. The surf looked really nice though.

Should've gone to 3rd :-x

Yeah, and they're still holding with the same forecast for tomorrow even though it was obviously way off for today

I got an onsite report from Evan just before the Toll Plaza and aborted.
Let's hope for better tomorrow.

I'd say to make other plans for today (and tomorrow, and Tuesday...). Reading the technical stuff in the forecasts, it seems pretty clear that today is the transition day to a major offshore event. They're calling for 25 MPH north winds in the valley by afternoon, and the aviation forecast says that north winds are already hitting 20 mph along the coastal ridge tops.

Today would be a good one, as Ollie says, to take one for the team

Paul if I could find some local wind I'll be on my landboard tomorrow. Of course I have to go to Redding and Chico first. Call me in the afternoon if you want to come out.
