A little history of the early days of this sport. Billy and I worked together at Boeing for about 5 years before he retired, and while I had seen kiteboarding in France in 2002, I didn't know what it was called or how to learn. When he showed me his patent in 2007, I finally took a vacation to learn. Finally met Cory a couple years ago on a Hood River trip, and just happened to be there for the blowout. He talked me into "racing," and beat me by over an hour I think:) Cory is fearless, which isn't surprising after being subject to hundreds of experimental test flights by his dad. Congrats Billy and Cory!
