Wind tomorrow

Post by bash » Thu Feb 26, 2015 3:32 pm

Hi Guys,

I am new to the bay area, even to the US. Now at the moment I am living in San Jose. I'll just introduce myself short: Kiteboarding since 2006 in Northern Germany. I already visited Fuerteventura, Tarfia and Egypt (and more). I weight about 230lbs, so I am a bit heavier. I like to ride with boots and loop my kite when there is more wind.
I have my 12m Naish Torch and my 9m Torch with me. So I always need about 18knots or 21mph of Wind to have fun.

So where is the best Spot to go tomorrow? I was thinking about Ocean Beach or Alameda. But I think OB would be nice, because of the flat water between the waves. I guess Alameda would be more choppy tomorrow. Right?

Best,
Bjoern

OB is pretty rough if you are not used to it.
Go to third ave. It will be windy.
Heck even alameda will be cranking according to forecast.
In a nutshell, anywhere you go it will be windy tomorrow. Third has some flat water behind the golf course too. Something to think about since it's a lot safer than OB...

3rd is really your best bet if you need more wind. G

Looks like Sherman might work over 18kts as well, but 3rd definitely safest bet and close to sj spot.
Good-bye... and hello... as always!

Wow. I don't think it mattered much where you went today. Crissy was wild.

Yes I had an awesome session at the coast in waves. 9m were perfect to hit the waves and go high.

Btw wasn't me who had the crash at 3rd. But hopefully he is okay.
