I'm sure there are a few of you on the forum already that know what I've been up to. But for those of you who haven't figured it out yet, here's what it's all about. I've made a commitment to participate in Kiteboarding 4 Cancer this year because this was one of the best fits for me, as an Olympic level athlete and a cancer survivor, to give back and help other cancer survivors. Let's admit it...who hasn't been affected in some way by cancer? It's one of the most challenging things to fight for your life and win. Each survivor has their own unique and personal battle, and life after is different. Your perspective has been permanently changed. For a survivor, the new goal is now to reconnect and challenge yourself in a new and positive way. Camp Koru does just that. It's an awesome opportunity to help these brave warriors and make a positive impact. My commitment in this entire thing is to make a huge impact... My goal is to raise $10K by the beginning of July. And I'm close to accomplishing that goal. But I need your help! It doesn't take much on your part, but every little bit helps. I challenge you all to take a moment to read my web page, donate, and share the link with as many people as you can. If you know of any companies that are willing to contribute, please forward them my way! If you are up for challenging your fellow kiters with a friendly match competition, bring it on! Let's spread the word and make this thing happen! I'm committed to putting in the hard work and kiting 100 miles to do this. Show me what you've got Bay Area!
