Hey, I don't trust the weatherman any more than anyone else, but the long range for the weekend is lookin' stormy.

no major short term issues going on...but after coordinate with other
offices it seems that there will be a major 'pops' upgrade in the
afternoon package for the ever more certain weekend system. Will be
raising probability of precipitation in our gridded database shortly...and we do anticipate
issuing a Special Weather Statement for the weekend rain/snow and
maybe thunderstorms.

Yeah Z, some of us can't spend all day driving around looking for wind, we got to work. You should be at least burning biodiesel instead of that stinky old #2 diesel polluting everything up in our beautiful state. :roll:Pablito wrote:Sounds like a poster who makes his living with a Blackberry... You are a techno wind gypsy. (I was looking for a smiley with a cell phone and a surfboard, but I couldn't find one)
Some of us can't make it to the coast after work, Z. Especially not when it gets dark at $%&# 6:30.

If he made his own biodiesel, it would give him another hobby and maybe he wouldn't taunt us so much with tales of wind in places that we can't get to on weekdays.
I followed his advice to "not believe the hype" about the bad wind forecast and got skunked at SI this afternoon*... So much for the "sail half full" philosophy.
I should have spent three hours today making biodiesel instead of driving 2 hours (round trip) and pumping up my kite for nothing.
*The Ikite wind sensor graph dropped the minute I left my house, from 17 to 15 to 14 to 13 to 12 right about the time I got my kite pumped up.
