He made some poor judgements due to the camera man egging him on. If you notice in the video, Ruben actually handles himself pretty well under fire from Marian. He walks away when it gets to be too much. The camera guy keeps on antogonizing her. It's really rogue videographers with a "Jack-Ass" mentality and no interest in the longevity of our sport that are the problem. I shot with Ruben a couple days earlier and he could not have been more professional. I also had a plan and jet ski's to get him and the cameras away from the beach.
Trying to make a name for yourself off someone elses talent and jeopardizing other people's access is just lame. We know the guest poster here is that videographer and he his probably sitting behind his computer loving this whole thread and all the attention his video is getting on all the forums. I'll be the first to say it; this guy is a loser. He blew any opportunity to ever work on any of my shoots and he will likely not work with any of the kiteboarding companies again either.
Don't blaim Ruben, he's just a kid. The camera guy knew what footage he wanted to get and he did everything he could to accomplish that. Do us all a favor and end this thread here as the more you give him the hornier he gets.
