Sir Charles, if you remember that phrase you really are an "OG"!

Another bit o' history? Guess who else was riding early on that controversial Wednesday morning? Yup. Bard Crisman. That's an OG fo'shizzle!

Wow history lessons by Prof. Charle. Time to drop some of that mad knowledge!!! Maybe save it for the off season. It'll give us something to do.

refridger beach aka"little baja" was wide open at one time, you could park on top of the leve road and camp.

the delta wind would blow 40 + in the am,all the time, day after day .
some could only take it for 2 or 3 days at a time, then you had to head back to clamer air to exscape the constead howuling of the wind.

glass beach is good for ...wait a min.....

yeah, back before my kids were around, we used to camp for the weekend on top of little baja levee. Before that, it was glass beach. I remember when one of the Urban bros had a bach party, with an RV across the river from glass beach at the park in Rio Vista.

It was windy enough the entire weekend to make it off of the beach on the Rio Vista side of the river on 4.5s. We then had good times parking at the main access beach for the weekend. Plenty of room....the 80's were pretty good for poleboarding....

Is it is climate change that makes you not able to ride a 4.5 anymore or is it girdle growth?
But also, the windsurf sails now are designed to spill off more than the 80s era sails, so the current sails pack less punch per square meter.

If you could ride a windsurfer there, would certainly would have been able to ride a kite... Most days now, it seems like the wind is cut off after Windy Cove -- if it's even that far east.

Does anyone have a good explanation for why the wind would be better during drought years? Last year, the rain stopped in February and it blew from then on until October. This year, the storms really screwed up the wind all spring (I mean, it was still kitable, but everyone was moanin' about how much better last year was).

I was told that the windiest place in the Delta is five miles into the hills north of the river, where all the big windmills are.
