Hey guys,
I moved to the bay area 6 months ago from NYC but haven't yet kited yet (don't ask why). I need a 10m or 12m for 3rd ave. I'm 190lbs. Hoping to learn to gybe and then move onto ocean beach.
I'd like to buy a used kite preferably, Please let me know if you know anyone selling.
Cheers,
-Vivek

Hi.
I was in the same boat as you, so I asked around on a different forum.
I was debating between Blade Trigger and Cab Switchblade. Here is a link to the thread. It's worth reading before you make a decision.

I just bought a 2011 crossbow after all said and done.
The more I go out, the more it's about safety and I've been caught in some really nasty situations with Cabrinha gear and I've always made it through without nasty surprises.

Ever think that the "really nasty situations" may not have occured if you were on something other than Cabrinha?
Not bashing Cabrinha since I've only ever ridden their kites once or twice totaling maybe 2 hours of water time.
I am all about eliminating the problem at the source.
Was it the gear that got you in the bad situation? Was it poor judgement? Was it crazy ass weather conditions (see poor judgement)? Was it another kook sharing the water with you? Was it lack of beer?
Go get wet! It's blowin!
