Good call Yuri. Imagine having all of us in your backyard - even for one weekend. And Bob and Mina put up with us ALL season. Man, those are some patient folks!
I'm down for helping make them smile even more than they already do. Keep us posted as to how the contributions are going to be handled.

Well, if this picks up momentum, i think we shouldn't divert from the original plan of trying to compensate ollie and mike for their efforts first. And afterward we can just stick the rest in an envelope and force them to take it. they wont take it easily, I know that. Maybe tape the extra money to the stray cats. :)

Hi everyone
Maui mike here.. Lets do this, Keep the proceeds of the BBQ for bay area kite, The money we raise from the raffle can go to Bob and Mina. There are some really nice items for the Raffle, Im donating a new surfboard so Im hoping to raise a lot of money. I really appreciate Bob and Mina, This is an opportunity for our community to show how much we appreciate Ollie , so lets come together and make this happen.

In an effort to reach out and reduce any potential issues we've extended the invitation to the senior windsurfing crowd. This will hopefully increase donations and reduce the chance of salsa code fights, except, of course, the whole salsa code thing happened because a windsurfed came to a kite party. But anyway, now with senior windsurfers there are a few accommodations to make, some of these old people have no teeth so we need cut up the chicken and maybe bring some mushy potato salad.
It would be great if the music could be changed to accommodate the older folks ? and perhaps more chairs and just in case a paramedic on hand. Also I contacted a life insurance salesman to make a presentation and there will be a great opportunity to learn about retirement timeshare condo investment on the river. Ovi will take over later with pychotrance and a photo montage presentation with photos of himself around 3am.
This is going to be great

that was pretty funny. Cut up the chicken! ha.
Mike, you are one hell of a guy. i still think you should get compensated for at least materials. Lets see what we come up with. I just think it would be an awesome thing for the whole crowd to go knock on their door and hand them a wad of cash.

If you want, you can arrange for an Early Bird Prime Rib Dinner for the seniors, but no music changes and we already agreed no latin-based music at all as it's proven to be problematic.gnukid wrote:In an effort to reach out and reduce any potential issues we've extended the invitation to the senior windsurfing crowd. If someone has a line on red velvet rope with the accompanying stands, that would be great because nothing is worse and ruins the fun and experience more than the drunk people who are programmed to visit the dj with their requests every five minutes. No requests, ever...no exceptions.

Hello can you play some Too Short dog! How about we pay for requests? $5 per song. I guess that ruins the DJ's flow though. I'll bring my birthday suit and some DVD's.
