Can I be Security? Pretty Please? I'll be less mean that I usually am, I promise.

I'll only break out the bear mace if it's really really really necessary. Like if some fool tries to cut the chow line, stiff Mike for $ contributions, hassle happy party-goers, kick my dog (ANY dog), etc.

The fact that I plan on ingesting, um, fungal products will not affect my performance in the least.

SO looking forward to a long-overdue gathering of happy souls. Thanks for making it happen again, y'all.....

Absolutely you can, we were hoping someone would volunteer! No doubt we want everyone to have a really good time, but the at times "anything goes" attitude that's surfaced sometimes in the past only gets us into trouble, so you're hired! ...it's "almost anything goes"...no property damage, respect your fellow campers and respect the park! HY%^ KI*& Just a couple little guidelines. |}{+

Greg, bring it man, and an extension cord....I'm trying to get one through work as well....if anyone has a big white sheet and clamps, I'd love to create a "screen that flows gently" in the night breeze...

Yuri, I'll take you up on a ride to/from the island...if anyone can commit to driving me mid day on a ski, we can get really cool angles of the action.

Get sum, z

Seems like there could be a conflict between this event and Ovi's photo contest - that event always has loud psytrance music and features Ovi making moves while everyone has a chance to take his photo and burning man hippies try to fly trainer kites. Dre's coming coming out, Hadlow, Lenten, Jeremy, and there will be so many sliders you won't even be able to kite without boots and vests.

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up.

I want to mention something on the lines of donations. I never understood how much of a contribution Bob and Mina make. they may come across being older stubborn authority figures but they are actually very nice people that have made a life commitment to the delta. The state parks have greatly cut back on funds and they barely make ends meat over there. I recently heard that Mina has paid over $4000 of her own money to help some of the stray cats in need of veterinary care. They Try to recycle as much as possible up there to fund just that but thats a lot of cans and bottles. As we all go up there to enjoy the warm winds we can all appreciate making serious sacrifices for living up there year round. but they spend so much of their limited funds on things the state would never take care of. Someone dumped some tires up there recently and they had to pay to dispose of them.

SO, I was thinking if we all pooled some dough together we could maybe surprise them with a good chunk of change. In return, and we shouldnt expect anything in return, but they would probably be a lot more open to the stupid things kiters tend to do up there. maybe we can turn this party into a multiple fundraiser? just an idea.

Yuri, I'd be willing to donate to help Mina's expenses for the cat fund as that's something that shows a lot of heart and care. Sometimes I feel that people create a lot of problems and hurt for themselves through their own choices, but animals very often suffer as a result of the actions of humans, so I tend to choose their side for charitable causes.
