Now your talking!!
"one hand washes the other"
Cover the stuff and you can cover the stuff :)
You know Stefaans this stuff could be used upwind of 3ed Ave also....
With proper funding we could build just about anything-

Reco knows about Kite parks -- talk to him...and get a PayPal account -- that's the easiest way for lot's of people to send small amounts -- if you select "personal" payment, there is no 3%.

You guys should have a chat with Forrest from the Slider Project in HR. Had a conversation with him at AWSI about putting in a feature at Sherman (with OR possibly sponsoring) . He said he would be stoked but the vibe he got was that everyone at Sherman is sue happy and considered with liability/insurance so I think that cooled him off the idea. In HR they're not concerned with any of this as a rider automatically accepts risk/responsibility by choosing to use a feature. Just like using a kite. You can only have an issue if you are negligent. Guy goes off the kicker and breaks his neck because he messes up - np. Guy goes off the kicker and breaks his neck because it breaks in half on him - now he probably has a legit gripe.....

Thanks for showing interest in the project!
I've always WANTED to build good stuff so WAKE PARK TOYS are not obserdly dangerous... The problem for me is if I build it and someone gets hurt (for ANY reason) and sues, I'm first in line to take the hit..
I dont mind taking the hit because my shit is LIGET and I dont have any money to loose so I wont put up a defense, just do the old legal duck and stall... But REAL investers dont want to take chances, they want (AND DESERVE!) to be protected beyound the money they put up for signage/ advertizing.... This IS the REAL WORLD (TODAY in Ca.)- The State Parks might find that VERY COMFORTING, I dont know...

If "I" accept YOUR money, that also changes things for me... But- If riders become OWNERS, that changes things in other ways... WHAT WE NEED IS A PLAN!!!

All I know is I'm going to die someday, so I want to LIVE NOW- if people sue me, I dont care, they can have whatever they want... PARTY ON!!!

"Freedoms just another word for nothing left to loose"

Steff/ Evan,
If you guys are willing to accept my toys as a gift to all kiter-mankind, they are YOURS for the keeping- Give me a ring and I'll write you a receipt.

I talked with Forrest about this last year when I was planning something for 3rd ave. For 3rd it was just not practical given the tides change so often and there really isn't any flat water to put a feature. Also going through the city was difficult even though they were quite supportive of any kiteboarding related improvements. I vaguely remember a number of around $2k per year for insurance/LLC fees. Though I think most people support the idea, the reality is there are not a whole lot of local riders that will hit the feature regularly. I'm glad to help in anyway I can. I would recommend talking to Forrest as well. I just hit him up on Facebook and he was glad to speak with me.

What if someone anonymously fabricated and set up the feature.

two ways of dealing....use an entity like Windydevil LLc, and I could probably find some insurance....but it would still be $500+ for any sort of decent cover...or continue as is, with no waivers, and no entity actually putting the thing out there....Greg might have some exposure, but he can say it is for his own use, and what they hell was anyone else doing on it anyway....? how are you gonna sue him if you did not pay him for the use...?

I know my boys are all over the thing, so I would like to try and help....Then again, Alex got me to try a bit of slack line action on his...I suck, but that is a lot of fun...Alex is again getting chops waaay past his dad...he has a 360, and I think Brian just did a backflip off of it this week....fun way to chill at the beach...
