Kind of late notice, but Chris Schey is on his way back to Hood River from the Long Beach Kite Expo and is in the Bay today and will be at Sherman from maybe 1:30 or 2 on, so come on out if you can and try some of the new boards and the not even shipping yet 2011 Rally!

Maybe you should convince him to stay at least one more day. It's nukin today anyway. Maybe tmwr would be a bit more tame. I'd like to try something bigger than a 6m or 7m

Sorry about the confusion on the day! I mis-typed it. #-o

It was today, Shy's left back to Hood River, however, I have the Rally 6,8,10 and 12 for a couple more days, so the plan is to demo them at Sherman Tuesday 7/13 and East Bay Wednesday 7/14. If anything changes, I'll post here.

Yes, I hope tomorrow is a little more mellow, today was very windy and fairly punchy. I rode a 5m for maybe an hour and it was a different day than yesterday for sure...

Yup, the Rally is the new 3-strut no pullies open-c delta design, you can see some feedback on the kite so far in the other thread: https://www.bayareakiteboarding.com/for ... =37&t=8642

The new SS boards are really nice, they are all made in USA and the wood in the twintips and surfboards is all Oregon sourced eco-sustainable wood. The boards all went back up to the Gorge, so for the next couple days, we just have the kites only.

Some kiters for practical reasons are perfectly happy riding kites that are the "last" model or design, and can often be great deals on new closeouts, or second hand, so we'll have Octanes to fly also...

Howdy,

Is the demo of the Rally still on for today (Tues) at Sherman? I'd really like to fly that kite.

How to find you?

It's on for today, you can find us by going to Sherman. We plan to be out there hopefully by 1pm or so, just look for the flags at kites at the upper launch.

Bamboo - the reason it's popular is that:
1. Lightweight
2. Good flex properties
3. Looks cool
