DATES:

• Thursday March 25, 2010 - Monday March 29, 2010
  (Monday is an alternate weather day)

LOCATION:

• Whale Harbor, Islamorada, Florida Keys, USA
  Mile Marker 83.8 Oceanside

EVENTS PLANNED:

• Kiteboarding - Rails, Racing and Freestyle
  Paddleboarding - Fun Paddle, Short Racing, Long Distance
  ***Paddleboarding is not a "no-wind" alternative. It is full event competition!***

EVENT DIVISIONS: (dependent on number of registrants)

• Pro (paid/sponsored riders)
  Amateur Master (35+)
  Amateur Men's (16-34)
  Amateur Women's (16-34)
  Junior (15 and under)

Events on Thurs and Fri add to overall scores to be combined with weekend events -

Pig Roasts, Sandbar Parties, Full Moon Party etc...

Did you know...


That despite the word 'Invitational' in the title...


EVERYONE IS INVITED!


Some additional clarification -

Just like in years past, the overall event is open to all kiteboarders and paddleboarders.

There may be a special heat and/or an invite-only portion of the event.

Otherwise, you are all invited to participate - ALL AGES and skill levels!

I keep reading this as Is. Alameda invitational..
Gets me thinking........

Maybe we can get Max to organize an Alameda Island invitational....
We can have:
- big air comp.
- cool trick comp.
and in the spirit of Alameda
- Most hanus kite incident off and on the beach
- body drag comp.
- Longest time to relaunch
- Loudest kite crash
