Wow!

Low aspect, adjustable steering line connection points, smaller bridle.........

So revolutionary....

How is kiting with that monster swivel...?

What happened to the RRRPmmmm? That was a quick death.

I'll tell you guys about a good slam by a competitor...

At the Pismo Event: I see this guy slamming one of our kite's over and over on the wet sand, FULL ON tomahawking the kite!! In HORROR, I say to Shy, What's that guy doing??! Shy, in a very calm voice replys, "Oh that's Martin Vari, looks like he's testing the relaunch and durability of the kite"....

I walked over and took the kite back about the time Martin started to look tired... He looked at me and gave a half smile, then he threw the board he was demoing on the ground and started to walk away.. I said, "Vari- that isn't one of our boards", he stoped, turned around and picked it up giving me the other half of a smile and quikly started walking away... I was standing there in amazment thinking- What has gotten into that guy-, when he threw the board in the sand again and never turned back.

I picked up the board and dropped it off at the other vendor's booth...

BTW: the RPM hasn't died, it was simply the second kite line release of the season, next comes the Octane instead of doing Rev-3, then a new generation of Fuel's will be released in early 10.... Thats the way the company (Slingshot) works.

Enjoy- L.M.G.

JRG...I didn't slamm products... just humorously commented the similarity in designs with other kites that have been recently introduced.

I am sure it is a great kite.

If you can read...I said I would like to fly it.

Also, it is no secret that the RPM wasn't as popular as originally planned.....

I am sure my SLINGY buddies whom I respect will not be too bothered. We are all excited to see companies progression (both technical and visual) no matter which brand.

In terms of the swivel, it is likely effective, but will get smaller. I guarantee it.

I am excited to see a swivel that doesn't bind like others if not properly maintained. Time will tell.

If there is wind this weekend, maybe LMG or Ed will let me ride his new Octane and I will let him ride the new Rabbit (as long as Deb doesn't mind).

:)

Chris-
Ed's getting some Octanes and I'm sure he'll hoop up for a spin!
I LOVE my RPM's, I'm surprised to not see more of them around by now- but if they didn't sell it's probably got more to do with the economy then the kite.. It seems all kites are selling pretty slowly, perhaps Live2Kites 25% off sale will get some folks that are on the fence about getting a new kite interested, who knows.

Anyway- hope your doing well,
L.M.G.

When I met martin at 3rd this year he was a super cool guy. I am very surprised to hear he would do something like that. Maybe a really bad day?

Anyways, kites aside, the 2010 bars look sick. SS has some very nice stuff going on this year. North has a swivel again as well and has added an ingeniously simple way of riding unhooked with a combo suicide/5th line hook up. I hear even RRD is going to make some serious improvements on their 2010 bars.

This time of year is always hard for all of us. We get to see the new gear but barely taste it. We feel the end of the season coming but don't want it to be here yet. Like drugatics, we just want ONE MORE ride. For me work and wedding planning has eaten most of my kiting days. But i know you guys will all be there having fun whenever/wherever the time is right to slap some chop again.

And most of all I really miss not being able to look forward to Ollie's Halloween parties. Or are you doing that?
