I'm looking for another beginner to partner with for beginner kitesurfer. Launching, landing, long walks back up beach, general moral support. I've got all of 4 days of experince under my belt. Been up on my board maybe half a dozen times.
Alameda would be great if the wind ever returns there. Otherwise I'm thinking of heading down to Waddel (went there yesterday to watch; wind was mild and waves only knee high).

... if you're looking for a beginner area other than Alameda you should check out Bodega Bay harbor. If it's not foggy on the coast the wind is much stronger than anywhere else (including Waddell) and the water is only 1-2 feet deep. Windsurfers have to watch the tides but it's no problem for kiters. I learned there last year after spending a couple of frustrated days at Alameda because the wind was too light. The only catch: Convenient parking is limited (but it's never crowded on the water.)

Also looking for a boarding partner
Mike-
I just took a water lesson Sunday with about 50 feet of successful ride time. I'm very intersted in partnering up to figure this sport out.
send me an e-mail or give me a call.

Michael,
I think I'm at the same stage you are. Took lessons two weeks ago, have been out a half dozen times and have drank a gallon or 2 of tasty bay water.
I live in Danville & work in sales so i do have a pretty flexible schedule.
