Pismo Beach KiteXpo Updates: Biggest Expo Ever!

The same thing happened last year. People barely flew kites at Pismo beach, but then a few miles away, it was macking at Oceano.

Glad folks got some riding this Sunday over there. Hate to see organizers work hard, and get skunked.

Kite expo, 15 minutes after the raffle. Never seen so many people shuck into wetsuits so fast.

On Sunday, after almost leaving around 2pm we rode down a couple of miles and had an epic session, great 9 or 12m weather, kited till 4:30 could have stayed longer!!! Crazy how a short distance down the coast the wind speed changes so much....

Because you got there before me and we weren't quite ready to drive down. I got 5 minutes in of very very light wind and that was it. But this is old news, glad you had fun, we got some great winds up here as well. Spring rules!

hey guys,
thanks to the bay area crew for coming down and suppporting the Expo! We had lots of smiles this year and are stoked everybody had a great time. The wind did back off at the event site for about 45 minutes (teasing with puffs of cold wind), but then it came back perfectly allowing people to test until around 4:30 when it started getting light again.

Hey, does anybody know who won the OR Mako board? I asked all the bigger prize winners to come back to me after the raffle and give me names/etc but this person didn't make it. Probably enjoying her new board:-)

It was another fun event at Pismo. Great efforts! We all had great time, with or without winds. We could have stayed one more day but we couldn't...

I think the person who won the OR board was Katheryn (not sure spelling or her last name) but she is a wife of Josh--jjm. He should contact you soon I think...

Wow, what a great time! Thanks for everyone that had a chance to demo and the SS crew for all there hard work and super killer support! PROPS!!!!
