This is also my 4th year (we missed last year)...Pismo is always a fun spot for kiting or just to chill out. It's just a great excuse to get away from the Bay Area sometimes.

So Charlie, see you there?? :yawinkle:

ikite oceano totally not accurate!

our best indicators are noaa and local weather guy for the nuclear power plant. As a was obsesssed with paragliding for 10 years before I got into kitesurfing, I am pretty accurate where our weather local is concerned as i've been para-waiting and now kite-waitng for almost 18 years! damn I'm old! lol

Just come here already! Where else are you going to be able to test all this gear in one place, meet other kiters from all over the state and possibly win some killer swag (like an ocean rodeo hat, just kidding evan!!!).....

I still have my OR hat from 4 years ago, and a shirt too somewhere. If there's any reason to go, its for the hats and for Steve's number announcing!

There are a few on-beach campsites, aren't there? Is one better than the others, or at least better-located?

Thx,
Bill.

I have stayed at both Pismo State Beach campground and Oceano. I prefer the Pismo State beach because it's much closer to the water and the Kite Expo. I have stayed at the Pismo State Beach campground last two years, this will be my 3rd year. Mosst of the 3rd Ave crew will be at the camp site. Our campsite number is 80 and 82, I hope to get one or two more campsite tomorrow.
