Dude! take it easy. You cant be pushing the healing time your body needs. it will just make the wait longer. Just appreciate being able to walk and being alive. Our bodies trick us into thinking we are ok and we are often not 100%.

Just want to see you make it to kiting season.

I want to kite this season. I just know my legs and board skills aren't where they need to be. I want to ride at this event, but your right, I'll not risk not kiting(or walking) at all. Part of the problem is that I took the scaggs offf my skate years ago(cookie sheet on ice!). Most poeple I ride with won't ride this board, too much work and too hard to ride in general. So not only was I fighting the on-coming water but keeping the board pointed towards where it needed to go also. But I was a good boy and quit when it hurt too much. When I was unable to get up safely I quit. I t just bothers me that I used to be so good at wake-skating. But thanks, I will take my time, make sure I get it right without hurting myself any worse .

Well three weeks back to work and I hurt my lower back already. I'm not sure how I did it since normally when I hurt myself I can atleast feel something that would lead me to think "damn, that's gonna hurt later". I hear from a friend who just had major back surgery that just the limp can injur/misalign the spine, or so he was told, so maybe my limp is the culprit. I almost called in sick to work it hurt so bad. So I am going to go to a masaage therapist today recomended by a buddy from work who had a similar injury to his back and was "cured" after one session. New pains seem to surface every day. Isn't what I already feel enough, do I really need more, Damn it!? So, no more gym until my back heals because without that everything is pretty much done for, work, riding, nightime fun, everything! Wish me luck.

A good piece of news. I went to the massage theapist and am feeling much better. Even in the morning which has been the worse since my back pains started, I felt good. Not 100%, but much better. All that is left is my body warning me not to mess with it type pain. May take some time to heal now that the inflamation has been worked out.

I am going to seee this massage therapist for a while to make sure the inflammation stays down, that way I can heal quicker. Funny, even the therapist noticed my limp had gone away after our session, so all in all she did a good job. I know, Iknow, "of course she would say she helped" this therapist is the daughter of a good friend and a really nice girl, I don't think she would lie. Besides I FELT great afterwards and in comparison to how I've been feeling I feel great tody. Phewww... I was worried that I had a misalgined/damaged spine because of the splatt with permanaent reprocussions. Because the massage helped I am going to say the back pain is muscle related and not from a spinal injury(which considereing how my accident ended was very possible). And muscle injuries I can and have dealt with in the past(thus my nicknames) and WILL heal on it's own over time if taken care of. From those I've talked to spinal injuries usaully require major surgery. No thanks. Oh and when you get a deep tissue massage annd are told to drink lots of water, they mean LOTS of water or you will be super sore, I feal like I do 2 days after a hard 4 hours at the gym. Speaking of the gym time to hit it again now that I'm feeling mobile again.

P.S. Hey Greg gimme a call when/if you have time, I want to atleast set up a down payment on the BBQ. I left a message at the number from above but I haven't heard from you. My number is 209-456-2695 thanks. Oh during the week 7-4:30 I may not answer because I can't take my cell with me everywhere at work. Thanks again for everything.

So I had the most hopefull weekend I've had in a long while. I got up on my wakeskate yesterday, first try!!!!!!! I didn't do any jumping, fearing what a hard fall might do to the still healing bone, especially if the skate ended up under my leg when I fell, but I had the side slide action going good!! So I practiced my carving and stability. I am going to have to work on my stability. Just a little shakey. I am going to have to re-learn my balance. Must be a skill that was smashed out of me. I'm gonna get there, Practice practice. That run was very hopefull for me. Water was pretty warm for the time of year too, 56 degrees. No pain on take-off, and I didn't notice feeling weakness anywhere in my body either, Ryan is doing a good job at the gym helping me get my body where it needs to be. In comparison to the last time I tried to ride. Get wakeboarding skills down again and then I will hit the kite up again. No board skills no kiting. Wish me luck!!!!!!

Matt-
It's been GREAT TALKING with you- I really look forward to seeing on the water again, and again and again...
Remember: This community of people are BLESSED to HAVE YOU! You OWE US NOTHING, your lesson IS a GIFT for EACH of US. Hopefully your personal kitemare experance will NOT BE FORGOTTEN--------------------
EACH of US (community of KITERS), should each draw from this body of knowledge. The FACT your ACCIDENT (and that is all it was- AN ACCIDENT) happened right here in our back yard is REALLY VALUABLE for US as a WHOLE. HOPEFULLY it makes PERSONAL SAFTY PRACTICES and RESPECT for MOTHER NATURE something we EACH can grasp a hold on...
Anyway- BRO, we got your back and WELCOME BACK!!!

Well Greg thanks as usaul. SO I am trying to take your excellent theory of things to heart. Don't force it, cause you'll loose in the end when it comes to mother nature. And I am BLESSED to have all of you! And I do owe you all, for all of the support and freindship you have given me. I plan to repay in kind. And I would like to give you, Greg, a personal thankyou for all of your help and support. THANKS!! And thanks to everyone for everything.
