Los Cabos to La Ventana (Dec 24th)

Hey There,

There is a local online newspaper/e-paper here in La Ventana, The Ventana View. We use it all the time for data sharing, rides, to sell stuff, lost and found, etc. Sadly, we don't use it for shameless gossip, but maybe someday.....?

Mexico has become more animal friendly in the last couple of years but has a way to go. We who value our furred friends should set a good example for the locals as well as others and be conscience about getting our animals spayed and neutered so as not to add to the many unwanted animals in these parts that need rescued and adopted. La paz has started an animal rescue. Please support it if possible.

Another matter concerns being responsible if we have aggressive animals. Your dog should be held on a leash or muzzled if it has aggressive tendencies. It is possible you will be held accountable for vet expenses. Also, if your dog will attack other animals, there is a greater chance that it will attack a person or child. Dont take the chance, be a responsible pet owner. Juan' and Dallas

John and Sol at Kijote café have mentioned they drive to LaPaz almost every day after/around 1pm and will take people with them at $5.00 each way per person. They generally return around 10:30 pm. dean

It goes out to everyone's email address (she probably has hundreds if not thousands of us in her database by now). It has been a great resource! I can't think of anyone that's posted an offer for a ride or a request for a ride that hasn't hooked up with a matching need. ESPECIALLY this year, when a lot of us have to fly into stupid Cabo because it's way cheaper or more expeditious than flying into La Paz.

If someone does offer you a ride back from the e-paper, just try to repay the favor by paying it forward in some other way. Or, do the crass thing and offer your vehicular benefactor some gas money. Merry Holidays, GM
