I went in there a few days ago asking about the Rev and they said that they are not allowed to demo any kites. Which seemed like a line of BS.

They don't charge to demo the kite. They do charge $25 to demo the board but that gets applied when you buy a board.

How does the 4 line 5th line work? Is it just a front line safety or is there more to it than that?

There is no 5th line, the leash is attached to one of the front line and the connecting line goes through the bar.

So is it simply a "front line leash" like many other kites have, or is there more to it? Is there any other hardware involved above the bar?
