For kids learning, or anyone -2 - hours before low tide and upto 2 hours past presents the best conditions for walking in less than waist deep water. The other Launch about half mile back in big break is good too, I've cleared all the weeds in a huge safe launch area with sandy bottom - but riding there on low tide is weedy and the kite bar always gets a little more wind. They move this cam around and you can often see the palm trees blowin in the wind etc.
