Damn, those google guys are good. Too good!

Good luck getting yer kite back. Someone should make a film of these things? After a while it seems like we'd be able to have a TV show? two incidents in the last couple of months already.

Ps. Good wind tomorrow! Me hopes!

hmm. perhaps this is a sign that we should all take the time to write down the various serial numbers on our gear.

They do know its a kite, now. They just haven't changed their ad.

Ollie can we hide this thread until we have recovered my gear?

don't forget, if you buy the stuff back, you can always sue them in small claims. heck, you might even make a profit that way.

SArgaent Sabins is looking into it.

He finally explained their reticence. For 10 years they've been going with guns blazing (his words) when people report their stolen gear on Craigslist only to find that, oops, it isn't the stolen stuff at all.

I explained that I have the only one and he seemed receptive. He'll talk to Doherty and let me know.

Well, if the cops aren't cooperating, I do remember a discussion a few months back about gathering a "posse" to retrieve stolen gear. If you're going to confront the crooks without the cops, confront them with a crowd, definitely not by yourself. These are bad guys who steal stuff for a living. You might get yourself hurt if you push their limits without enough backup.

Hopefully the cops come though for you today. If not, be sure to dial 911 before you knock on the door.

Bottom line: don't let the JG's pop a cap in 'yer ass over some kiting equipment.

Sorry, no controls to hide topics, only to delete, move and lock them...

Time is ticking away, don't rely on the cops to help you, by the time they come around it may be too late, don't you think?
