Yah, I'm usually not the type to demo gear because I figure if I'm gonna kite, I want to ride my gear and get better on it. But, a few scary gusty days on my 9 has me wondering if I'd prefer a bit more depower (i.e. SLE) for waddell and OB and the like. Then again, maybe I'm just anxious because I'm stuck here at work and it's 70 degrees and blowing 20 knots at sherman.

Many larger people including myself own 7m for those windy days at the coast.

That 20 knots at Sherman was from the north (speaking of North), not exactly the desirable direction in the Delta. I doubt you were missing much.

It says 10M, but it's really a 9.

was wondering about that. So its not like doing everything in the opposite direction there? Would think that N wind was like kiting a south wind at Alameda but I guess not.

Sundays forcast for Abaco is something like 25-35 early building to NW 40kts, seas 8-13 building to 12-20 FEET! NICE!!
I'm hoping its somewhat accurate, could be the best day of the season....
BUT, i wont be holding my breath.

Todays forcast was way off but I got something.
After the sess I meet a Bahamion fishing guide who said he killed a 14' Tigar shark this morning less then a mile from where I was kiting. Jaws were over 2', He said it musta been about 1500lbs of fish. Proudly said he'd prep and mount them on a board and sell'm to me for $500.

you know, thats an awefull lota wasted sushi
(not to mention bad carma)

Out-Island Abaco:
this mornings peak swell forcast for Sunday has already been cut almost in half, i knew it was to good to be true. didnt seem possable to push that much swell in such a short time, its practically flat right now..
good news is forcasted strong winds "supposed to" push into Monday.
we'll sea..
