If you are local in the Bay Area and your kiting skills are worth noticing send us your resume.
One of our kite gear brands is looking for 2 local team riders to complete its local team.
Thx,
Evan

I'm nowhere near in line for something like this, but if people knew which brand it was I think they'd be more than happy to "try out." Being a team rider means you have to ride and support their gear. Everyone I've met is very particular about the gear they ride so this would definitely help someone out in making a decision.
In the past I used to ride for skateboarding companines and I know even though there was "free stuff" involved, I only wanted to be a part of companies that I felt I could get behind. Just my two cents. Good luck!

BB,
How much is a skateboard? How much is a quiver of new kites every year and a new board? Not a good comparison.
I know one rider who was absolutely in love with his 06 Brand X kites. He got an offer to be a team rider for Brand Y, and didn't even think twice about switching.
I love my Vegas', but if anyone ever wants me to rep their brand, I will be happy to oblige. Let's face it, if you're a good kiter, switching brands is not going to make you suck.
BTW, what does a kiter resume look like? 2005: Kiteloops; 2006: Handlepass, etc.?

It says 10M, but it's really a 9.

I disagree with Paul and fully understand Bobby deal. Sure money makes the world go round but frankly free or more likely "at cost" kites I dont LOVE, I could'nt pimp..flat out!
A resume should be about contest results and reputation. Are you known and as what bla-bla-bla, you know all the bull-shit... most likely a video of your bull-shit would work best,

I should have put a little
after my comments.
But seriously, are there a whole lot of kites out there this year that just purely suck?
Would you consider someone who switched from North, to, say, RRD to be pimping?
What about someone who switched from, say, Naish, to, say, Slingshot?
Purely hypothetical, of course.

Guys - no misconceptions here. Local Team riders get a significant discount for demonstrating the right skills in the water and (as importantly) the right attitude towards the sport, other riders, and safety, in and outside the water.
If you think that you or someone you know qualify send me more details. Let's not over engineer this.
Thx,
Evan
