I should have mentioned, you can only get the crap phones in the cell stores nowadays. You got to buy the good ones from:
-UK online
-Ebay
-Online (letstalk.com)
The nokia 6820 and E70 can be found on ebay from legit sellers and there are Nokia direct sales stores in NYC that just got them (E70) in. You get it unlocked and tell them you will return it for a full refund if Cingular can't/won't enable it. Make sure the 6820 is what you want with regard to the web browsing, as someone said, it's a barebones browser so it might not have the access you need.
The E70 is WIFI enabled and will connect to WIFI networks if you are in range and can get on -- means web is superfast and it will make VOIP calls on the WIFI (I think this means the call is off system to the cell company entirely). Off WIFI it's still fast from what I understand depending on where you are.
Everyone: Buy the E70 so they dump all the crap fashion/kid stuff models and just work on good phones ;).

Found THE DEAL on good phones, PDAs in the bay area
I ordered the E70 today from e-Mobile in Burlingame. It's a regular "cellular reseller" shop with Cingular and T-Mobile --- BUT, they have all the kickass phones that none of the other shops sell AND they will sell them with a plan (no other place does this that I found).
So, I got the E70 (normally 479$ and only available from Nokia stores in CHI and NYC) for something like 220$ w/ plan that I will re-sign for (since my old plan was completed and I was "month to month" or whatever).
Here's their craigslist posting (check this to see all the phones they can order, they don't carry all the models in the shop):

I know it looks like a scam posting, but they are right there on Broadway in Burlingame, they have been there for 3 years and the people are very professional. I signed up for a new plan and everything in about 10 minutes and the phone will be in tomorrow. I'll post a follow-up once I actually get the thing in my hand just to confirm they didn't close shop and ditch town right after I ordered ;).
Now I'll be able to post EVEN more off-topic and distracting messages to the forum since I can post from almost anywhere! Be afraid!

I don't know how the cell phone bizz works, but when I got mine the independent shops that sell plans had better deals and better phones than the official shops and the carrier websites. They also do stuff like configurations, unlocking and so on that the carrier stores will not do. I also bought from something that looks little flimsy, but three years later they are still there. ;)
