tales from Lake Coeur d'Alene.

heres a letter i got from my mom
i dont know why but iam gonna post it.

Driving along highway 90 from home I glanced out at the Lake and what did I see but a kite over the water. Taking a quick turn towards the Lake I manage to get a clear view of someone in a wet suit pulling his board out of the water then his kite.
This is the only kite boarder I've seen since I began watching for them.
I drove around the lake until I found the park he'd launched from and thought I'd missed him. Then I saw a guy pulling on his shirt with a board near his feet and stop and ask him if he was a kite boarder to which he said yes. I asked how the sailing was around here and so on.
I think I surprised him. He said he never expect me to ask him that.
He said the sailing was okay but not right here but there where better places to drop in.
I told him that I had family into the sport and he asked where and I told him Bay Area. Alameda, Berkeley. He said he was from Santa Cruz. We had to stop then I was back up traffic on a one way street. He said to tell you that Kite Boarding lives at Lake Coeur d'Alene.
Would have posted this if I could ever get on the BAKB site again.
Mom
