a tip for people as unobservant as I am: The grass behind the shack at Alameda is *littered* with Canadian Goose presents. As I was rolling up my kite yesterday I noticed a splotch of greenish yellow goo on it, wondered out loud, "WTF is THAT?!" And then noticed that I was standing in a sea of goose turds in various states of liquidity. Maybe the lawn mowers will grind them up (the turds, not the geese)

Actually the geese are a major problem. They polutte the bay as their turds cause setimint that lasts for years. They are becoming a major problem in Lake Tahoe as well. I think soon they are making it open season to kill them but not sure. You know how California is!

Ya right, major, major problem, compare peoples shit in sediment to theirs, they were here first, now at a much reduced population, and we are out of control.

I do admit I think of running those geese over everytime i roll in the lot. But I also think of rolling over our future generation of F-ups-aka kids, as well. Next time I am at costco I am getting the bulk Alka Seltzer.

Some communities use herding dogs to harrass the geese and to chase them out of the parks and kite launch areas.
