That sinking feeling

Post by wjb » Sat Jul 15, 2006 2:41 pm

I am looking for recomendations on a flotation vest to go with a Dakine Fusion seat harness and would like to find one with good flotation as I am kind of a sinker and would like to keep my head above water. Thanks, Wade

Thanks guys. Nat at Edge Kiteboarding also suggested a kayak vest. I did search for kayak and nothing came up so if anyone has suggestions or experiances I would love to hear them. However I did find discussions on wake board vests and I guess will start my research there. Wade

I just typed kayak life vest on Google and all sorts of stuff popped up.

This one looked pretty decent:
Decent Life Jacket

Good luck and don't sink!

kayak vest are only good if your using a waist harness. Look to a wake vest. They float and have good impact protection.

One thing, make sure it has a strap at the bottom that can hook / attach to your harness. This will greatly help with the vest not rideing up.

if ur into spending some money i highly recomend a jetpilot A-10 attack vest give decent flotaion and has removable rib protection was devloped for wakeboarding but is very popular for windsurfing and kiteboarding because it is VERY easy to move in the downside 110 bucks but i had a great experience using this vest in competion for wakeboarding
