Maybe you can answer a question on my kitecam? I made an aluminum bracket to hold my digital video cam and the damn thing never takes footage when its upo there. It will record fine on the ground, I can beat it to death, there are no buttons being pushed or any shock or water. It is one of those cheapo oregon scientific 640x480 15fps sd card deals you get for $150 on ebay. I just wish I could get some dang footgae out of it other than people on the beach while holding it in my hand. What camera are you using?

I've got a Sony Cybershot with waterproof case. I did notice the first time I did this, and it came off from a kite loop, the camera shut off after a second of banging around. It may be that your camera is too sensitive to the vibrations. You need a less emotional camera.
