Praise 3rd Ave kite repair

Post by moblvet » Sat Jun 03, 2006 8:19 am

Had kitemare yesterday at Stinson resulting in LE and bladder getting ripped.
Phoned Sonny Swords 650-520-7654 at 6pm, he answers, asks if I would like kite for Sat's session, ya man, so I drive down and meet him in a shopping center where's he's eating with family.
Sonny repairs kite fri pm and I have it for today's sesh.
He's an incredible resource for the bay area and can't reccomend him highly enough.
Last crossbow repair he did for me, kiters were astounded that he could put it back together, and they could hardly tell it was damaged.
I am really hard on my kites and the many repairs he's done, seem stronger than the brand new version.
And he guarantees his work. Now, what could be better for us?

Yes! Glade to hear it couse my local repair man Willy-Boy is out touch..
I hope to never need Mr.Swords services but when I do MAN its nice to know I'll have a hard working Bro like Sonny close by to lean on!
In Maui I had a sweet little Hawaiin chick fixed my kite over night, SAVED MY BUTT! I couldnt thank her enough,

After repair, I usually give Sonny a six pack of Coke or Snapple for the quick service. He really does good/quick work.

Like an idiot I crashed my switchblade this weekend and tore a 3 foot hole in it. OUCH!!! Thought I was going to have to buy a new kite. Droped it off at Sonny's house yesterday around lunch time and he called me this morning at 10am to let me know it was "good as new" and ready to pick up. Less than 24 hour turn around time. Oh yeah, and I had him do a few minor repairs on the leading edge too.

Very high quality work at very resonable rates. He's the man!!!!
