Proparoo

I tried the Sonic 11 in tahoe in the fall.

I do not own one and did get the Rap2 16.

That said.
The sonic moves fast, launched me very well, and totally de-powered.
I was not loving the bar, but that's cuz i loved the WW bar and like very little pressure. very good kite though. I would put it at top of list. Contact litewave Dave and see when he will be in the delta or bay area, he always demo's and is an Awesome guy.

I have not tried the waroo, but all my other kites are Best and they have never failed me (well...minus the smellfish, but they took care of me)

DEMO, DEMO, Demo...when you can

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On our last Demo Day 2 weekends ago we had the following kites:

Gk Sonic
Best Waroo
Flexifoil ION
Caution Answer

as well as the RRD Total Depower System which makes any C-kite depower like a bow.

People were stoked with all of them. It was great.
More than 50 people were able to fly back to back all the kites (granded most of them at the beach) and see how they feel.

Last Saturday during our Wave Riding Clinic many got to play with the Flat kites in conditions from 12 to 20+mph.
At one time we had the following kites simultaneously riding and having a good time:

RRD
21m Type 7, 15m Type 7, 12m Type 7

GK Sonic
11m, 14m

Flexifoil ION
9m

Cabrinha XBow 12m

and more.....

We even got to set up an Ocean Rodeo ONE with the punch out bar which looks super cool - Jan figured it out and we couldn't believe what a nice Flat kite bar system it is.

Too bad Gabe was not there with his Waroos.

???
Evan,
I kited on a Waroo, Big Pink 16m. DING-DING??, strike any bells!
Whoooo, I thought I had a short memory,

Personally I think it is possable to redeem ones-self but it takes work and consistancy. My Dad likes to say "just one awe-shit blows away a hundred thata-boys".
Thing is, with this World Wide Web thang, word gets around fast and nothing sells better then dirt,

LMG,
2 (TWO) weeks ago you did fly the pink 16m Waroo, 12m Caution Answer, 12m Waroo and I am sure many more of the kites for demo that we had that day.

Unfortunately last Saturday we didn't have any Waroo for testing but plenty of other kites to have fun with.

We are planning to have the Best Bus in the Bay area end of the month for the whole week so get ready for tons of testing on all the Best gear with Clinton and the rest of the crew!

Ah Evan now I got ya,
So sorry, I was there for both dealies and mistook what was written. I rode the 16m Waroo ...couldnt remember the timing, bla bla bla! Once again, SORRY.
BTW: Nice job on both projects, everyone had fun and thats the main point I believe. You've done the community a great service setting up the back to back demos!

LMG,
It's been fun indeed - Having many products available for people to try is very important and a rare opportunity.

We want to continue with our demos and make sure that everyone has a hands-on experience on what kite best fits their style, needs and budget.

As new products are becoming available (Ozone Instict as an example) we will make sure that they are available in the Bay Area for people to get more familiar with and try out in both flat water and waves.

See you in the next demo.

Right on Jeff. I moved out here with an investment company rebuilding damaged apt. complexes and homes. There all my homies from the bay. Sucks about the wind! I miss the bay. Great reviews on this thread. Thanks! =D>

Some time has passed since time last post to this topic. Does any body have a better handle on the new crop of bow kies this season. Is the Waroo a quality kite as far as construction is concerned?

You might want to check out the Ozone Instinct. Many are saying it's currently the best hybrid kite on the water. PM me if you want to get more info or set up a time to meet and fly... that goes for anyone else here on this forum that's interested.

Good Winds,
Mark
