Hey,
It's such a trip to get back from La Ventana and read what you guys have been up to. The kite bums down there are so darn spoiled that they will ignore perfectly good wind for 2 hours because they "only want to ride their 10" today.
Up here in the real world, we'll go out on 14s at the slightest chance in the winter. Down there, I got in 2 hours on my 14 one day with just another couple of kiters in the water. Everyone else waited until it hit 18mph to blow up their kites.
One guy told me, "Why don't you just mellow out" when I was pumping the 14 up. I was like, I"ve only got six days down here!
P.S. -- Ollie made a pretty big impression on everyone down there when he was there. When I pumped up the Type Wave, everyone got all excited. They were like "Are you gonna do all that sick stuff that the guy from the Bay who was here in January did with his RRDs". Sorry, no kite loops for me...

Friggin Cold!

I was sailing with a 5/3, hood, gloves & boots. The wind chill off my face was enough to give me an ice cream head ache and my hands & feet were numb.
But it was sweet! =D>

I find Crissy being much colder than anywhere else including coast.
Stinson yesterday was fine, for the first time this winter I could feel feet and hands! Spring is nice I thought. I've kited all season long on 5/3 with a heavy LS rashie...
At Crissy this time after 30min no feet feel - but who cares. It's time in the water!
Hopefully more wind to come.
