Got out to New Hogan reservoir today to find it blowing about 8-12 around noon today. Thought about rigging my 16M nemesis but decided against it due to having read the forecast. Rigged my 12M xbow and got in a downwinder as it died off a bit. Walked back up and it finally picked up to about 15-30. Had a good time for about a half hour and then the lulls and gusts became even more extreme and rain began pelting down so I decided to self land. Went to leash and wrapped the leash around a large boulder securing the kite. Got to the kite and let the air out of a couple of struts and decided to take my lines off so I got to the tips and kneeled down on the kite. At this point a gust of what I estimate to be in the 50's blew the kite out from under me as it broke a line and ripped the LE and canopy in multiple places. Glad I didn't get caught out in the squall though. So Andy, how much are you selling those 12M TD's for complete? Karl

Wow... sorry to hear about your day.... Today was probably the worst day I have ever ridden in Alameda, but I did manage to get out on 4 different kites....
The Turbo Diesel 12's retail for about $150 less than the crossbow 12, but since you got your kite from us, I am sure we can work out a discount to help you out. I am really glad that you are ok.. I'd like to see your kite and how it ripped if you are in Alameda anytime soon.
