I have found a recent solution for shrinking pants and belt winter syndrome, I take up running for 3 months out of the year, at least with any consistancy. Results seem to be good so far. May dust off the mountain bike as well.

I run 1 to 2 times a week (4 miles), spin class 2 times a week, and lift weights 2 times a week. Still growing.........

I walk 30 minutes in the morning and then 30 minutes at sunset.

And do not eat any fast food in the winter.

No beer etc.

Just soup and salad. Till february.

Kite, eat tacos, drink beer, repeat. Hate to bore you with another 6-mile downwinder story but this time my gear blew apart about two miles out making for an interesting afternoon. My kite is fixed already (Baja Joe has on-sight repairs) and there is now a public computer in the kite shop to torture you with! Bob will take over the Journal de Ventana next week!

dave:

is that public computer sitting somewhere at Baja Joe's? I am staying just upwind of there, so I will have to snoop around a bit to find it. Your gear seems to blow up a bit more than average! What's the deal?

Yeah, I remember those on-site repairs. $20 for a 3 mm screw for my spreader bar.

Computer is in Joe's kite shop. Repair was $40, overnight, two-foot tear seems reasonable to me actually. Windy now, bye.

That would explain a few things.

The more time I spent trying to figure out the weather, the less I understand it. I think Z. is your man. Where the hell is he, anyway?
