Hi there,
I was wondering if somebody have a nice solution to keep their belongings (car keys...) while kiting?
I don't feel confortable leaving my keys in my kite bag on the beach (even though I doubt any kiter will steal them... but you never know, right?)
Thanks,
Julien

I use this:
http://manera.quivers.com/p/2413/
Key box from manera. Simple and efficient. And you can set your own 4 numbers code.
I have an "intelligent key" meaning I don't need to use the key, I just walk to the door and the car opens. The key box is thick enough that the car doesn't pick up the signal once the key is in the box and locked under the car.

I saw this while poking around on the web a few weeks ago. http://www.hitchsafe.com/
Great solution if you have a hitch.

I'm not sure. You just lock it under your car or to your suspensions so it doesn't need to be waterproof.jalassim wrote:Exactly what I was looking for... is that waterproof?

I use a lockbox as well-
http://thesurflock.com
Not waterproof but I think you would have to submerge it to get anything inside it wet.
Had the hitch box before too - nice thing is it is a bit more desecrate since with the cover on you cant tell there is anything there. I did have some problems with it though- Had to file doe the edges of the box to get it to fit in my rusty hitch and then it used to get stuck in there... Also there was a spring on the back of the inner box which is supposed to help pop it out-lost that somehow... made it kinda tough to open with cold hands. Got rear ended with it in the receiver and it was toasted- although to be expected
I like the surflock better- easier to use- a bit more space (if you have a newer key fob this will be nice)
If someone really wants your stuff they will get it... but this definitely gives me piece of mind that a theif will not steal my stuff just over the extra hassle of having to break the box or a window

In use a valet key without chip on a key ring attached to my harness. And lock the real keys inside the car.

This is the type I use. I am not sure it will fit some larger keys but it does have the advantage of when your sunset sessions at Sherman turn into moonlight sessions, you can easily open it by feel in the dark :)
