Avoiding ALAMEDA over the 4th of July Holiday.

I know this comes up every year so I thought I would post again. Unless you have pretty good kite skills do the community a favor and go somewhere else or do what you do when your not on the water ( drink, hit the bong, skateboard, whatever) The beach is going to be packed with kids and Oakland thugs. I have learned from experience sometimes they aren't quite as friendly after a couple drinks and probably don't want some beginner dumping a kite on their head.

thanks for posting, i almost did the same post myself.

In general NO one should kite on 4th unless it is windy enough to scare people away from the beach.
