Had to jettison the kite/bar/lines and board today at 3rd. Not going into it. If you happen to come across my red/grey Crazyfly Proline board with black and white Cabrinha Synch bindings, I would be much obliged.
Looks like this:

If you live in the east bay (I'm guessing it should have made its way to Fremont) and see my 10.5 RRD Obsession wrapped up on the rocks somewhere....enjoy!

at least you are safe. the price of a kite doesn't come close to the cost of hospital bills and lost time.

Sucks to lose a board man, won't be your last unfortunately.
When I lived in foster city and had a jetski locally stored I picked up more than my fair share of lost boards from 3rd. And a kite or two.
Depending on how desperate you are to get your board-back its possible it made it way to the 3rd ave board graveyard. On some tides, and for some reason I could never work out, a reasonably high percentage of the boards I picked up ended up in the reeds of the bird sanctuary on the far side of the bay. Just north of the san Mateo bridge. I am not saying this is where your board is, but if there is any chance of you retrieving it yourself other than somebody finding it, this is the best shot you have. Not sure its worth the trip out there or not, and walking in that mud is not fun, but I have picked up probably half a dozen or so there over the years. If you speak to some of the long term third guys, like Jack Hodges, I think he has found a few of his boards there over the years as well.
Several years ago another guy made a post here on BAK with a map etc and if you do a search you might be able to find it. But its the 400 yard set of beach north of the other side of the San Mateo bridge.
Good luck,
Russ

Found AND was able to retrieve my kite, bar and lines. My wife was driving over the SM bridge this morning to visit some friends and spotted it on the south east side of the bridge (about 2 wire towers down from when the high rise flattens out).
Called Jeff Kafka and he was kind enough to jet ski down there and pick it up for me. Some small tears but leading edge was in tact and still holding air when he got to it. Still dealing with the spaghetti lines but totally happy at the end of the day.
Someone is watching out for me. Thanks for all the replies, well wishes and suggestion to the board yard.
Life is good!
