Re: bodega bay today and this week
had a sweet 12m sesh yesterday , one other person was out. where do you launch in this wind direction? i saw the other guy come ashore briefly on some of the march area, north of doran park. so i launched from a little beach behind someones house, at the pull of just north of the entrance to doran park. he had a hobie cat on the "beach" so i figured it would be ok. It was really muddy.

On a south wind go to Doran Park and ride the ocean side.

Didn't you see the quick sand signs?
South wind is ocean side off doran beach ....inside the park..parking at the two out houses and turn out on the left, walk over the sand dumes, or farther in the park to the tree stand on the left that has real bathrooms..that parking area...
Inside the bay only at high tide on northwest wind...but gusty over the hills. Quick sand on the south side of the bay...the mud. Dillon Beach is better choice for North west wind.
Never ocean side on a north west wind...at Doran.
