hello to all,
some words of introducing. I'm from Austria kiteboarding since more than 4 years.
allready had the change to kiteboard in NYC, nearby to Washington DC and Hatteras.
So it's usual that I take my gear with me when I'm on a business trip to the states.
I've been two years ago at your bay but without kitegear as I tought I could rent smth but without success. This time I'll not make the same fault BUT
I'll be their for 3 days in the mid of november. The information I got is that the chance is about 40%.
Is it worth to take the gear with me, BA want's me to pay 150 bucks or is their a possibilitie to rent kitestuff - HifiComp would be the best?
thanks for your answers.

Re: windy in november?
Hi,
Unfortunately your chance of wind in November is way less than 40%. It's only storm winds this time of year and they are unreliable.
Sorry

I know that you are not a beginner, but this thread will probably answer most of your questions.

Re: windy in november?
thanx for your replies, the only decision I made know is to leave my 12 for sure at home and pack also the 7 if I would take my quiver with me - I rather prefer to kite with my stuff but is their any possiblity for a rental?

Re: windy in november?
It's probably very hard to find a place where you can rent a kite because of liability issues.

slight chance of rain.
I would say no chance of wind if not a good storm builds up somewhere in between. No rental here in the area due to the liability. If U need a ride out here and you can get my old Cs for a spin. I still have 13 9 7 and an old woody 130. PM me if you so desperately need it. I dont see it coming though.

Re: windy in november?
Well, we got just enough wind yesterday to go kiting at Sherman. A smooth 11-14 miles per hour on my 14m; enough for a baby F-16. 4:00 pm and the ebb was just starting. It was actually pretty comfortable -no gloves needed! Thanks to Ken from Utah for the photos.
