There are a few team riders locally(including myself) that can help. What are you looking for or need to know? As for shops, Boardsports in alameda sells North, Sheldon at the delta, not sure who sells in the sf area.

I am a North team rider. I kite @ the delta and on the coast.

If you have questions, ping me @ zeevgur123@yahoo.com

I've got a 9m 2007 Vegas with flat struts, suffering from the infamously leaky strut T nipples. I bought it new at KiteWindSurf in Alameda.

My 14m suffered the same problem, and it was warranty work, but I was lucky to have the failures occur within a few months of buying it. The 9m took longer to blow out because it doesn't get flown as much, and here I am.

What course of action would you recommend?

You should go through boardsports and order the appropriate parts. north is very quick at getting parts out. I normally get things in 2-3 days.

Jane/Rebecca at Boardsports # 415-378-3395

If they're just little parts, hopefully they'll send them to you quickly, and hopefully they're free! (I realize the kite may be out of warranty, but if it's a known issue with a certain part, a bit of good will of that sort makes people feel warm and cozy.)

Hope you get it back on the water soon.

He needs the whole strut, the plastic part cannot be replaced.

I know this is a long shot, butbeing that this thread was already open, I thought I would give it a shot.

Does anyone happen to have any contacts of reps in the Miami area?

Josh and I are in Cumbuco, Brazil and have found ourselves with 1 bar stolen, and the other bar broken. We are in dire need of at least 1 (or 2) North bars, and we are having a hell of a time getting any contacts in Miami? Does anyone know anyone? I'll check on kiteforum as well.

Thanks so much!

North will replace ALL the struts. call the shop and they can contact Pam at North for you. I had to have all of mine replaced also. If the shop won't help then PM me. rit
