Go-Pro Hero @ 3rd

Post by cangumus » Wed Apr 01, 2009 10:27 am

My gf recently got me the Go-Pro Hero - here is the first video I ever took from it. As you will probably note, i'm not yet an adept kiter but i highly recommend this gadget to other kiters (plus it also takes amazing pics every 2seconds)

Last weekend at 3rd was great...I'm looking forward to a fun season.

Yeah, and make sure it's not turned on on those warm summer days when you don't have a wetsuit under your harness. :P

Now we know what are boards are thinking the whole time we're riding them: glug glug "stop pushing my nose underwater you dickwad" glug glug

The video came out much better in the latter part of the video, when you changed tack. Very awesome tool.

Is that a leash that I saw flapping around? A leash and no helmet? Leashes are super dangerous, not worth the risk, and a leash sans helmet is super dangerous.

If you notice in the still or in the vid the leash is not hooked up on back of harness, probably a self rescue only leash. these cams are cool! but i concur on helmet mounting. :)

Wow - I think it's great video. I'll be the first one to rent this thing from you next time I'm at Third. (Sure I could buy one, but not sure what I'd shoot other than a bit of kiteboarding...)

Sure - i'm generally on the upper launch also (9m & 13m Rev) on a nobile 555 board.

Also for the record, the leash is for rescue only - I stopped wearing the leash after reading all of the stories and recommendations on this board. So thanks to all that contributed. Its great advice =D>
