Los Cabos to La Ventana (Dec 24th)

Post by moshecom » Sun Dec 21, 2008 12:39 pm

Hi guys,

I am looking to get from Los Cabos to La Ventana, on Dec 24th afternoon.
Does anyone want to share a cab?
Can someone recommend a way to get to La Ventana?

(Renting a car is not an option)

Thanks,
Moshe

Contact: SAFERIDE down in Cabo..
You can find them by doing a search on IKite forum

it seems so funny to me..

SafeRide has been spamming IKITE's website for months, I've deleated there posts so many times that I've gotten rather sick of them.. Now I turn around and refer someone to them. HA!!

Seriously, SafeRides service I know of only because they aggressivly market on the public forum, yet REFUSE to pay for a banner ad...
-SO- I would REALLY like some first hand information about the service they provide. If anyone has done business with them please contact me directly, I would love to know HOW IT WENT???

I suspect the service is fine, actually I think it's a really good business model. There website shows pictures of newer trucks with supposedly English speaking drivers.. BUT- I'd really like first hand information if they truely provide a professional service, which I sincerly hope they provide..
My hope is if they do enough business in the future they will start to give back and provide some support for marketing..

I'd be curious to know also. Not only have they spammed ikitea bunch, they have here also. Their site is also obtained free from these guys: http://www.wetpaint.com/

Maybe they put all their money into the new cars, so nothing is left for a website o ads. ;)

In one post they said, "We're back for the season", that made me wonder if they are American's trying to do business under the radar or what...
Simply put, they have been DISRESPECTFUL to the sites. They have disreguarded our policy's and blankly rejected our inquests and e-mails... THis does not however mean they don't do a good job of getting people to there destinations- they just dont want to pay there advertizing bills and LORD knows everyone thinks they can post commercial ad's on free websites..

I just hope they do there job correctly.. so I dont have to call in a favor and have the Sacred Mother of Guadalupe flatten there tires.

Just kidd'n, Greg

I've heard there is a bus from Cabo to La Paz. It's real cheap but ya still have to get to La Ventana from La Paz (the cab ride is expensive for the shorter trip too). I haven't taken it but it's an option. Wherever you are staying should have the details and may be able to help out if you are using their lodging. $170.00 is a good chunk of change but it's cheaper than getting a "legal" rental car or taking a slow bus.

Shuttles available upwind from Pittsburg and Sherman all summer. Come see what kiting west has to offer.

That seems expensive, I'm assuming it's a one-way quote you were given?

For that price, you may be able to do the same, or better, through National. Search online for coupon codes for National or other rental agencies, you can save quite a bit with them. Insurance will probably cost you an extra $200, but considering it is $170 each way for the shuttle, you only end up paying slightly more and have the freedom, flexibility and fun of your own car. Do some research, find those coupon codes and see what you come up with, it's worth the effort to compare your options.
