Kiteboarding Columbia

Post by malibu1101 » Sat Sep 08, 2007 10:14 am

Hi

I am visiting the San Francisco bay area (Staying near Berkeley) and was hoping to get some advice about spots to kite, just got a new 9m and was hoping to use it. Any advice and rules to obey is appreciated, local shop names would also be welcome.

Thanks

Sorry Dude, you've got bad timing. Don't know how long you're staying, but the wind shut down yesterday and isn't expected back for several days. September is really hit or miss in the Bay area.

It says 10M, but it's really a 9.

Well, it looks like luck is on your side. The wind is here (2:30pm Saturday) and it's looking pretty solid.

Here's a link to Bay Area locations and guidelines. Pt. Emery, 3rd Ave and Sherman all look good today.

Testing out your 9m I would recommend either 3rd Ave. or Sherman Island. 3rd is closer to where you are at. Enjoy yourself.

Coast might have been calm but Crissy and other Bay stops were 20MPH+ all weekend.

To the author of this thread your title sucks. I thought you where asking about ColOmbia kiting. Not that someone from BC was asking about kiting inthe Bay.
