looking for a source for NSI's stick on straps

Post by func » Wed Aug 29, 2007 1:29 am

I was going to order a set of these online, but it turns out Fedex won't deliver to a parking spot at the Sherman Island launch. Which is too bad, cause I don't want to leave. :)

Anyhow, I've got a sweet little quad fin fish that I've been meaning to put some straps on for a while - do any of the local shops have those NSI straps in stock? I've hit most of the kite shops I know of from Squamish to San Francisco, and haven't seen them yet, and mail order isn't so great when you're on the road full time.

Kite Wind Surf has some, but they're not NSI: http://www.kitewindsurf.com/store/detail.aspx?ID=599

Thanks! I was trying to check out their website, but my net connection is a bit flaky at times.

Hey, thanks for the offer LMG, but I ended up heading down there myself - needed a new wetsuit, and a little less blue green algae. :)

The straps are great! The fish rocks upwind, and now I can boost over the waves with ease. I think the backing plates will help the board survive a little longer, but the construction of the surfboard itself is still a little light - it's epoxy, as I can now clearly see.

I had a couple of great days out at Waddell with it, and one more good day up on the Oregon coast in well overhead surf. Got caught by a big wave though, ended up head butting the board, then putting my harness hook through the top deck. Oops. :) Easy repair though, and the straps are still holding on.

I think this board's days are numbered though - the straps are letting me get into a lot more trouble with it than I could just riding it strapless. Love em!

Wade
