help out an australian kitesurfer in san fran!

American Kite Brothers and Sisters,

I am travelling your fine lands... mostly hawaii so far and am currently in san fran for a few days before heading to the oregon gorge.

I am staying down town on taylor and saw there was a lot of wind in the bay and have no idea where to go / how to get there as I don't have a car in the city.

I have 3 kites/board etc (and a springwetsuit)....

If anyone wants to take me kiting in the bay area I would be more than happy to come up with some cash for a pickup and drop off from the city + we can hang out!.... come on its not so far from the action surely?

If you could give me your number.... and we can set something up its looking good on ikitesurf.com

Thanks!
Daniel

Dan,

Beg, borrow or steal a ride to Sherman Island in Rio Vista this weekend. You will not regret it. Wind, new friends and BBQ'd meat will prevail.

A few weeks ago one guy from Florida (on a nationwide kitesurf/motorcycle adventure) said that the river rats threw the best party he'd been too yet!)

My guess is you'll dig it mate!
Go bigga'

Yup, get to Sherman. You can always sleep there too as the wind is so good! Hope to see you on the water.

You can find info on the Bay Area spots here: Bay Area Kiteboarding Spots Click on Sherman Island/Rio Vista for more info.

3rd Ave is also good and is listed on there. That's closer to where you are and does blow good. Sherman is a great weekend spot, though and the fresh water RULES!

If you have trouble finding a ride, Crissy Field would be the closest spot to you.

Also, here is a web cam link to 3rd Ave which is about 15 miles from where you are.
