Who's coming out to rerpresent at the local kite spot - known to the locals as Dyke 8 (real name is Folsom Point). I will be out there tomorrow morning and Saturday afternoon. Th forecast is for STRONG winds (20-30mph) so it should be good!

C U There!

Well it was blowin' good today at Folsom, but I couldn't make it out. :(

Sunday is looking to be a repeat day with north wind and 70 degree temps.

This could be one of the last days out at Folsom, so I'm encouraging as many to come out for a session. The water is fairly warm for this time of year and feels great.

For those still craming in their taxes that day... stay home! It's not worth having the IRS chasing after you on epic wind days. :)

Mark,
We get north wind days on the west side of the valley well into summer. June can be one of the worst months for north wind. Not the same on the east side?

Paul, where exactly do you call "The East Side" of the valley?

As far as I'm concerned once May hits it all Sherman Island as I have my camper parked for 5 months at the Sign, all my sails are rigged and ready to go and kites in the truck for the hop to Kite Beach, friends and family are there every weekend and it's usuially windy. What more could we ask for in life?

Ain't it Sweeeeetttttttt

If it looks really good I will hit Folsom on Sunday but I might see what's happening in the Bay area... as I have to mow "The Sign"

Sunday was blowin nearly 30 and crazy out. I only have an 11m, so no kiting for me. :(

Granite Bay looks to be the spot today. It's blowin 16+- from the S and is supposed to increase this afternoon. :)

Went to Sherman for a late session, you think it was windy at Folsom? Sherman was solid 35 mph around 6pm

Needless to say I was windsurfing as I am no where near ready for that kind of wind on a kite...

Robert,

Folsom rarely blows during the Summer. Rather, go to Sherman Island from Now till Oct for great hi wind Summer thermals.

If you have any questions feel free to give me a call.

Contacted KWS... hopefully they can put in a suggestion to North Kites to come do a demo at Folsom.
