5th line bar (repost)

Hi!

Looking for suggestions/comments on 5th line bars (both good and bad). I rigged my own 5th line bar, but it is pretty ghetto, and I have no fine tuning of 5th line tension on-the-fly (which I've heard can take the place of sheeting the center lines). I really like the relaunchablility of the 5th line for light winds, as well as that the kite doesn't spiral when the safety is acitivated.

So far I have read good things about RRD 5th line bar as well as Slingshot's Oneline, but bad things about North's 5th Element. Any specific comments on the pros/cons of these systems as well as any others?

Also, any suggestions on making a my 5th line tunable are welcome.

From what I've seen you should think about RRD's type wave bar. They say that it can work with most 5th line kites and increase depower.

The RRD bars are narrow and have a very light feel, which is something I like a lot. Some bars tend to be a bit thicker, which I personally don't like much. What makes the Type Wave bar different and increases depower is the active 5th line. Unspinning rotations is a little trickier than with the Type 7 or HiR bar, so with the Type Wave I either do an opposite rotation or loop the kite back the other way to unspin the lines.
