Salmon Creek has always looked like a kite-able alternative to the off-shore conditions just south of there. However, the Landlord is present as evidenced by the gnarly surfer-snack today. Did you see those bite marks on the surfboard? Scary, food-chain reality check. It never ceases to amaze me that the spongers and surfers are willing to just float around like that. One VERY lucky chick-- her friends fought off the Great White and rushed her to the ER in Santa Rosa I think. At least with the kite you can hover a while and keep rolling through the session.

Yes, Salmon Creek is a kite spot on occasion as told to me by a few friends in the past. I suppose kiters carry the least risk among the watersport enthusiasts, but yes, I agree with you about bobbing around int he lineup waiting for waves - No Thanks!Fear Lu wrote:Salmon Creek has always looked like a kite-able alternative to the off-shore conditions just south of there.
