My girl and I are expecting early february. Since we are both kiters, I am wondering who else is out there?
Would be good know some people that "make it work" and get back on the water as fast as possible..

Sherman is kid friendly. Helps with having a trailer.
Wifey and I swap kid duty. 8 month old, 3 1/2 year old and 13 year old boys.
Wife, me and 13 year old kite.
Beach on low tide is nice for kids, just watch KITERS of course.

Whats the deal with having a trailer at sherman anyway? How much does that cost and how often do I have to move it?

Hmm maybe even I might be able to afford that for a couple of month ;-)
Any particular limitation in size of the trailer? Seems like there is not tonns of space..

It works, but you need to be creative. My wife doesn;t kite, and gets tired of hanging out with the baby/toddler in gale force winds.
Antoher good reccomendation I have, which works excellent is the following, and is done by many kiting parents (mostly fathers) in the bay area:
During the prime summer months, Sherman generally is rocking the best at sunrise. So in order to keep everyone happy, I'll get up at 5am and drive to Sherman, have a good 2 hour session or more at sunrise and then be back in the city by 10-11am ready to spend "quality time" with the family for the rest of the day. Keeps everyone happy.
Those are some of the best sessions at Sheman.
And getting up at 5am isn't going to mean anything different to you after your babay arrives, it's jsut a random number at that point.
See you out there.
