PLEASE!! No more joking- This is NOT FUNNY.
Also DONT make matters worse by adding ANYTHING that you dont know PERSONALLY as FACT!!
Remember this could blow up in our faces VERY FAST!!
What you dont know, you shouldn't talk about...
What you do know you should say CAREFULLY-
The only ansure to these kind of issues is SPACE!! We need to keep SPACE between US and THEM.. TWO LINE LENGTHS MINIMUM from the beach goers... Anything less should not be tolerated....
So kiters- Follow the guidelines and we "might" be kiting for a LONG LONG TIME to come..
Dont follow the guidelines and risk kiting throughout the Bay Area... (for everybody)
It's REALLY that simple,
Gregory Boyington
My personal approach in the future will be: kiters found endangering the public will have their plug pulled, "the talk" or whatever else will happen next. When the police show up to arrest me I'll simply explain how PERSONALLY IMPORTANT it is to avoid "ANY interaction" between kiters and the public.. That will be my only defense, PUBLIC PROTECTION.

This sport is not like renting a pedalboat! When you take a lesson and you don't have absolute confidence in your abilities... you need to stay away from people. Everyone that comes from the shack that just got a lesson basically does the same thing. They float down wind until their kite hits the shore and THEN they try and figure out what line to pull to land it. Bring a FUCKING friend with you if you don't have a plan for when you get downwind. AND PLEASE DONT ASK THE PUBLIC TO LAND YOUR GOD DAMNED KITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am 100% sincerely concerned about investigating this report which is why I read the posts and attempted to follow the story, there are no facts which can be substantiated. I also volunteer to meet the accident posters to get their story in person with the police and to meet the family and the child in order to get the facts to pursue if in fact there is a case which should be pursued. So far there are no facts to follow, only a story line that appears to be false on every count as none of it is substantiated nor does it follow as plausible. Let's investigate the facts, no facts nor injured person means no accident.CdoG wrote:gnukid you need to step way from your coumpter

1) A new poster that no one knows states that he and only he saw a family with a child who was bleeding, the child pointed at a kite and therefore that caused the poster to conclude a story scene where a child was injured by a kiter who then left the scene. In no case is there any evidence of an accident nor of a hit and run, only the word a new subscriber who makes statements that are not substantiated by other people on the scene. Problem #1.
2) A second new subscriber makes a statement that the so called Mexican family (who doesn't speak english) knew his GF kitesurfs so they went to her GYM and confronted her. This is unlikely, or if true, even more suspicious that a unique witness to an accident that no one else saw also has a connection to the victim that no one else saw, while there is a kitesurf shack with firstaid and phone and clearly is the most likely place to report an accident, going off site to a random gym to look for a random person makes no sense, again no one can substantiate the story. Problem #2.
If anyone is an actual witness to the accident, who can identify the victim or is willing to be a witness to any of this, I will gladly assist in contacting the police to file a report and work toward identification of a persons involved. I also speak fluent spanish, am willing to assist in gathering the information to help identify persons involved.
The posters who are reporting this should contact either the site admin here who I am sure would be glad to help resolve this as well or myself or go directly to the shack to make a report and from the accident location a police report may be filed if that is required.
An accident requires a victim who is injured, is willing to file a report and if there is a person responsible that person should be identified. Please feel free to send me a PM with your contact info and the victim in order to help the victim if one does exist.
Read the posts.

Re: Little girl with smashed face at Alameda today
there is a reason I dont go to Alameda with my family anymore. Its just not worth the hassle and the risk. A few years back we went at least 3-4 times a month over the summer but then we got fed up with the trouble we saw with the kiters there. Just by luck nothing happened but a few very close calls. Ollie even opened up a "closed" message board at that time to avoid that the beach gets closed and keep the discussion internal.
Sorry to hear about the trouble and sure there will be something coming down the line.
Best hopes for the kid. G
9 stitches should be between 1-2 inches ... on a kids face its a lot ...

Second time I've had to delete a post. I must be losing it. Where is the wind?

gnukid-
Con la actitud que tienes, no creo que seas buen embajador en esta situacion. Pues las dudas que tienes me parecen demasiado cinico.
Acusandoles de inventar una historia mientras existe la posibilidad de una verdadera injusticia seria un error con malas consequencias.

Sounds no different than a hit and run. Someone always saw the car speed off, but only after it was too late to identify the car.
